Getting You Started
Every Wednesday we offer an introduction to knitting or crochet, a one time 2 hour class meant to get you up and running. Where you take it from there is up to you. Have fun!

Classes Starting in February
– Vicortoria Drape Capelet or scarf
Knit this luscious beaded Victorian capelet, and you will have a stunning piece to wear for fun or fashion! Some techniques that may be new to you are used in this project:
(1) two-needle cast-on,
(2) knitting that incorporates beads,
(3) short rows with wrap-and-turn,
(4) reading lace patterns on a graph,
(5) seaming/piecing with mattress stitch, and (
6) making custom buttons to complement your capelet.
Or, if you would like a smaller project that incorporates beading and two-needle cast-on, join us for the first session, and make a lovely beaded scarf. Have your yarn(at least one hank wound) and beads chosen before class begins.

Advanced Beginner on up. A great way to dive into the wonderful world of sock making. You’ll be learning the basic anatomy of a sock using worsted weight yarn on double points.

– Toe Up Two At A Time Socks
Learn socks with Mary. In this class you’ll learn to knit socks 2 at a time starting with the toes using the magic loop method. You’ll need a skein of worsted weight yarn and a size 5 or 6 40” long needle.
